Seller Dashboard

Objective

With the objective of expanding NTWRK’s marketplace, the NTWRK Selling Initiative was launched with the goals of platform self-containment, unlocking a new subset of sellers, and expanding the NTWRK marketplace. Seller Dashboard’s objective became a major undertaking: to improve the entire process of who sells, what is sold, and how products are sold on NTWRK.

Process

The process began with detailed discovery and user research focused on the end-to-end seller journey—from application through order fulfillment. This research revealed that the existing flow was both flawed and unscalable, making a complete overhaul necessary.

Outcome

Following a successful beta, Seller Dashboard launched publicly, driving a 127% increase in average monthly seller growth while reducing reliance on third-party tools, including Shopify. Deep seller research informed intuitive, end-to-end workflows that guide users through the selling process and contributed to $28.7M in product revenue generated on NTWRK.

My Role

As the Product Designer, I worked closely with product managers to define 18 MVP initiatives and translate product requirements into end-to-end designs. Each initiative required user research, flow design, close collaboration with engineering, high fidelity designs, stakeholder reviews, and user acceptance testing to ship successfully.

Where backend meets business — Tools for NTWRK Sellers.

Highlights

Research

Early in the project, we conducted interviews with sellers, marketplace managers, and customers to uncover key use cases, pain points, and unmet needs.

Main Painpoints

Shopify integration & limitations

In order to sell on NTWRK a product first had to be created in Shopify and then added to a show.

Onboarding Sellers

Most found the onboarding process to becoming a seller to unorganized and overly complex.

Handling Time

The most common complaint to customer services was "where is my order" while sellers felt unaware of current orders.

Solutions

Seller Dashboard reduced friction for sellers by refining onboarding and centralizing core commerce workflows into a self-contained platform.

Unlocks

Create products without the need for Shopify and or a show.

Fast and simple onboarding.

Keep sellers better informed about new and pending orders.

One Unified Platform

With Seller Dashboard, sellers were able to operate end to end on the platform, enabling their success and accelerating NTWRK’s expansion into a full-scale e-commerce marketplace.

Simplified Onboarding

Prior to this initiative, prospective sellers had to apply through a third party, maintain an existing Shopify store, and complete additional steps—creating a significant barrier to entry. We streamlined the experience to accelerate time to selling.

Keeping Sellers Informed

To reduce handling time and speed up order fulfillment, we introduced timely emails, banners, and status badges to keep sellers informed and up to date on their orders.

Outcome

There is no other feeling like launching a new product and seeing such success in accomplishing its objective all while introducing a new beautiful user interface.

I'll never forget an executive saying "we look like a real company now."

Results

Increased products on the marketplace from 21K to 466K.

127% increase in average monthly seller growth.

Generated $28.7M in product revenue.

Powered 254,641 orders on the platform.
